Abstract Text:

America’s water future is at a crossroads. On the one hand, we are experiencing challenges like we have never seen before, from drought to flooding to water contamination. On the other, the stewards of water—utility managers, public officials, farmers, river keepers, businesses, manufacturers, community leaders, philanthropy, and more—are forging transformative solutions. Through innovative, inclusive, and holistic water management strategies, communities are forging a resilient future. Water challenges – whether it’s too much, too little, or poor quality – are already sparking cross-sector collaborations, ingenuity, and creating positive results. The opening plenary session will provide an overview of the opportunities, challenges, and innovative practices taking root across the country to secure a resilient water future.
