Abstract Text:

“If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.”  This adage rings particularly true for us as green building practitioners, working to push the industry to new heights.  Advancing green buildings means continually growing and sharpening ourselves as leaders.  How do we stay nimble and adapt to an ever-changing landscape? With a steady flow of new technologies, new rating systems, and new opportunities, where do we start?  And what guides us?  Learn from top leaders on how they grow their technical expertise, build relationships, and advance their management skills in order to make change and to catalyze market transformation.  This session offers a unique opportunity to hear the perspectives of green building executives from the financial, government and retail sectors.  Gain a window into their experiences and the strategies that have helped them be successful.  Then join in our discussion on growing as professionals as we work together to create a more sustainable future.
