CA08 - Driving Equity User Session Part II: USGBC's Regional Community Priorities: What Matters Most to Your Region?

Tuesday, November 7 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM | 257AB « Back

Abstract Text:

Join your fellow USGBC community members and stakeholders for small group discussions, broken out by regions, to discuss how the four priority areas presented earlier apply in your region and to select the top priority for the coming year. The four topics include Resiliency, Health, New Technologies, and Equitable Development. Each were selected because of their importance, but not all will be equally important in every region throughout the country. Your on-the-ground experience is essential in determining the top priority for your region to focus on in the coming year, which will then be incorporated into a work plan in the following session. Experts will lead discussions about each topical area, and USGBC’s regional directors will facilitate dialogue about how to influence action in local communities.

Learning Objectives:

Identify actions that can be taken to advance community sustainability locally through the lens of one of the four topic areas presented.

Gain a broader perspective from others in your region about the issues they are focused on.

Identify partners, resources and successful models to leverage.

Define the reasons why the chosen topic for your region is a priority.

Learning Level:

Level 200 - Understanding/Comprehension
