Join this 90 minute panel presentation to hear from experts on the four most pressing topics facing the USGBC Community - Resiliency, Health, New Technologies, and Equitable Development. Expert practitioners with each of these fields will provide an engaging overview of the issue area with an eye to how your work with the USGBC Community can begin to address each topic. This level-setting panel will ensure that all participants have a shared understanding of the issues going into the afternoon’s work sessions, with an ultimate goal of determining each region’s priority and creating a work plan to support that focus.

Learning Objectives:

Establish links between community resilience and climate resilience and how the built environment can foster both.

Understand the link between public health and the built environment and potential opportunities for intervention.

Learn about the latest technologies and the opportunities and challenges they present in supporting affordable, inclusive communities.

Discuss the barriers to achieving equitable development and learn about successful models to help achieve it.
