The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is currently underway with a $6 Billion capital improvement plan, ATL NEXT. As part of its commitment to maximizing resiliency and efficiency, as well as compliance with the city's aggressive sustainability initiatives, ATL has developed comprehensive sustainability standards for all planning, design, and construction. These standards have set the foundation for sustainability programs within each department at the airport and driven momentum behind a cultural shift at Georgia’s largest employer. Learn about the LEED for Communities Certification at ATL - a first in the Airport Industry, ATL's Planning and Development Sustainability Tracking© - a GIS tracking platform, and all of the exciting work coming up on ATL’s 4,600 acre campus.
