Abstract Text:

This tour covers three examples of innovative use and reuse of building materials. It features the Rebuilding Exchange, a retail warehouse for recycled building materials. Also included are the offices of DIRTT Environmental Solutions and the Natural Resources Defense Council, certified under the Living Building Challenge and LEED Platinum for Commercial Interiors. Materials to be highlighted are reclaimed wood and sustainably forested timber, zero VOC finishes, and rapidly renewable fabrics. A government issued ID is required, there is limited wheelchair accessibility.
