Abstract Text:

Upon completion, participants will be able to define Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and consider implications and impact on collaborative efforts in communities. An understanding of ACEs is the foundation and/or umbrella for the three frameworks presented in the 120-minute education session. Tabletop discussions and exercises will be implemented in this 45-minute luncheon session to engage participants in connecting their personal and professional stories. Head’s Up! You’ve selected a session that’s taking place off site at the Merchandise Mart. We will provide transportation to/from the convention center. Please meet at the room number listed and the group will be directed to the shuttle.

Learning Objectives:

Define Adverse Childhood Experiences.

Consider implications of the research data for personal and professional application in collaborative efforts in the green building industry and communities.

Consider implications of the research data for collective impact to move forward Equity, Access and Action within the green building industry and communities.

Upon completion, participant will be able to begin developing the capacities of eco-system collective leadership of the green building industry for sustainability.
