Abstract Text:

The Communities & Affordable Homes Summit launches with a dynamic plenary that sets the stage for the day’s work as attendees collaborate on an action plan to advance sustainable communities. Barbara A. Lumpkin, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago Urban League will speak to the work she has done in leading local efforts around the development and implementation of the Urban League’s strategic planning, development, and community outreach. Ms. Lumpkin works alongside the Urban League to focus on workforce development, housing, youth education, and community development. Audiences will use this presentation as a jumping off point as they think through the four topic areas that this summit will focus on Health, Equitable Development, New Technologies and Paradigms, and Resilience. Join us!
