Daniel Piselli joined FXCollaborative in 2005, was named a Senior Associate in 2015 and Director of Sustainability in 2018. Dan guides the office's sustainability strategy and leads implementation of those strategies on multiple projects. He has 20 years of experience and has led design teams on educational, cultural, residential and infrastructure projects, most recently on the Statue of Liberty Museum. Dan has extensive experience in sustainable design including many LEED projects and Passive House efforts. He co-authored a research study entitled “Feasibility Study to Implement the Passive House Standard on Tall Residential Buildings”, and recently lead a redesign of New York City school standards to drastically reduce energy use. He is also an industry leader in bird-friendly building design, and is a board member of the Bird-Safe Glass Foundation.
