Founder and Executive Director of the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association, a national trade association representing the recyclers of construction waste and demolition debris. The 19-year-old association promotes recycling and reuse, and provides an information exchange on the practice of recycling concrete, asphalt, gypsum, wood, and asphalt shingles, among other related materials. He advocates on behalf of C&D recyclers. He is the only person working nationally to represent the viewpoints of C&D recyclers to federal, state and local regulatory and legislative personnel Built association from nothing into successful organization recognized throughout North America as the leading source of information on C&D recycling. Considered the leading expert on C&D recycling in the country. Created C&D World, the Annual Meeting of the CDRA. Guided the show to a leadership position, outlasting competitive shows. C&D World 2019 is March 8-11 in Brooklyn. Other Notables: Helped develop the Certification of Recycling Rates (CORR) program to help prevent sham recycling in the C&D industry. The program was created to ISO-level protocols and was necessary in response to fraud taking place under green building programs. President of the board of directors of the Recycling Certification Institute, which administers the program. Shepherded the exemption of C&D wood fuel from EPA’s Non Hazardous Secondary Materials rule so that the market can continue as it has for years. C&D biomass is often the financial underpinning of any mixed C&D recycling facility, allows it to recycle other materials in the waste stream.
