Alyssa Zucker is the Sustainability Manager at Vornado Realty Trust, a preeminent owner, manager and developer of office and retail assets in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco. Alyssa manages Vornado’s LEED certification efforts, which currently include 6.5 million square feet of existing buildings in the ARC platform. She also supports tenant certification efforts in the LEED and WELL rating systems. Alyssa’s role entails programming implementation and tenant engagement across the New York portfolio. This includes annual events in honor of America Recycles Day, Daylight Hour, Earth Day and Earth Hour. She is responsible for the enhancement of Vornado’s NYC recycling infrastructure, including the design, planning, implementation, training and outreach with all stakeholders. She lends this expertise to the AIA New York Committee on the Environment (COTE), featuring case studies in the organization’s newly published Zero Waste Design Guidelines. Alyssa is a LEED AP and sub-committee chair of the BOMA NY Pinnacle Earth Award. She holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in Environmental Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
