Scott D. Lutocka, ZWBA has dedicated over 34 years to the Food Service Distribution Industry. He has spent the past 21 years of his career with Piazza Produce & Specialty Foods, LLC and currently serves as the Facilities & Sustainability Manager. Under Scott’s leadership, the company achieved zero waste in 2012 and has subsequently received the following awards: • 2012 Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard's Sustainability Award in the area of Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle. • 2013 Heritage Interactive Services/IS2 Data Management’s “A World of Difference” Award. • 2014 Gold Level Zero Waste Certification by the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council and was the first third-party certified Zero Waste business in the State of Indiana as well as the first foodservice or produce wholesale Zero Waste distributor in America. • 2014 USZWBC’s zero waste Cheerleader of the Year Award • 2014 Food Logistics Top Green Providers • 2014 RecycleForce’s Top Corporate Challenge Winner for E-Recycling • 2015 Green Plus Certification • 2016 Green Business Bureau, Platinum Level Certification Piazza Produce has successfully maintained its zero waste achievement for the past five years. Mr. Lutocka serves as a Business Advisory Council member to the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) TRUE zero waste program. He also serves as the Pro*Act USA Sustainability Coordinator as well as the Greener Fields Together (GFT) Supply Chain Sustainability Advisory Council Member. In 2016, Mr. Lutocka received his Zero Waste Business Associate (ZWBA) credential. Mr. Lutocka is a Founding Member of USGBC’s TRUE zero waste, International Facility Managers Association, Indiana Recycling Coalition, Indiana Food Scrap Initiative, National Recycling Coalition, Indiana Solid Waste Stakeholders Group, Boy Scouts of America--Eagle Scout Class of 1977. Mr. Lutocka holds a B.S. Degree in Management from Ball State University.
