Aileen Horn is an architect with three decades of experience in building design and development throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. She has worked closely with owners and developers from concept and feasibility through the entitlement process, design, construction and occupancy. She is working on urban infill, historic adaptive reuse, community focused residential and hospitality projects.She has been designing and guiding hotels and multi-family projects through the LEED certification process since 2008. Ms. Horn is a firm believer in the vitality of our cities and the role development can play in supporting existing communities and enriching the urban fabric. She presents LEED Contiuing Education courses on the Social Equity and Resilient Design Pilot Credits. She is active in the Urban Land Institute as a member of the planning committee for the 2107 and 2018 Washington ULI Real Estate Trends Conference and as a member of the ULI Washington Placemaking Initiative Council. She chaired the panel: Curating Communities: Intentional Placemaking and promotes Creative Placemaking as a tool for community engagement. Ms. Horn is an artist practicing in various media.
