Sean O’Donnell is the practice area leader for Perkins Eastman DC’s international K12 practice. A recognized leader in educational facility planning and design, he founded the AIA/DC Committee on Architecture for Education, has served as a juror for numerous school design competitions, authored articles, worked and presented internationally on innovations in educational facility design, and his projects have won more than 25 design awards. Deeply committed to sustainable school design, he is a LEED Accredited Professional, member of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) Executive Committee and the Co-Chair of CHPS' National Technical Advisory Modernization Sub-Committee. His Dunbar High School project, which he guided to become the world's highest scoring new LEED school, has won 13 national awards, including two from the USGBC NCR and MD chapters.
