Renee Loveland is the Sustainability Director for Gerding Edlen, a firm nationaliy recognized as a leader in green building which is also a certified B Corp and a GRESB Green Star. Renee has 20 years of experience in real estate development and leads sustainability initiatives across Gerding Edlen's investment management portfolio. Responsible for all sustainability metrics and portfolio-level reporting, Renee is also a co-creator of Gerding Edlen's Livable Place IndexTM. She has extensive project management experience in LEED certification and contributes heavily to early design decisions that affect long-term building performance. Renee works with a variety of private and public sector partners to secure energy-efficiency and renewable energy incentives and assesses the applicability of innovative financing structures. With direct experience on over 70 LEED projects, Renee has helped Gerding Edlen build a track record of many firsts and represents the firm frequently at events and forums related to green building and sustainability policy. Previous presentations include at Greenbuild (moderator), the National Historic Preservation Conference, GreenerBuilder (USGBC Northern CA Chapter) and Getting to Zero Forum (New Buildings Institute), among others. Renee was involved in early design decisions for The Eddy and coordinates all sustainability-related components of building operations.
