Elizabeth Beardsley

Ms. Beardsley focuses on green building law and policy. She has written on climate change policy and attended COP-21 in Paris in 2015. She has led USGBC's collaboration with Ceres and Thornton Tomasetti (representing the Carbon Leadership Forum) on the Building and Real Estate Climate Declaration. Ms. Beardsley also engages in federal and state policy of strategic importance to USGBC's mission. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to joining USGBC, she practiced environmental law at a federal government agency, and prior to that, was an environmental engineering consultant specializing in water.
